Very charming and light monument divided over 2 floors. The house (75m2) is fully equipped/furnhished and situated on the ground floor. Located at a historical location in the heart of the Jordaan area in the center of Amsterdam City. This fancifully designed monument was built in 1640 and has been renovated in 2006 with preservation of the authentic and characteristic details. Go back hundreds of years in time and live laidback in the Jordaan for a while with lots of bars, restaurants and shops within walking distance!
Because of the playful layout of the apartment it is complicated to describe, but it is as follows: Through two front doors you will enter the house and the spacious dining area. Further on one small stairs up and you will find the living area with TV/cable and the fully equipped kitchen including a dish washer. Then another small stairs up to the study/working space or sleeping couch for guests. Ok back to entrance again and then one small stairs down to the master bedroom and the bathroom (wash/dryer). On this level you also find the toilet and the stairs to the cellar for storage. The house is suitable for a family with one child, a single person or a couple!
The house is situated almost at the base of the Westertoren on the corner of the main canals in the heart of the lovely Jordaan area. In this area you can find a lot of cafés and restaurants. The Anne Frank House, The 9-straatjes, with its trendy boutiques, and the Royal Palace are located at a stone throw away. For shopping there are several good places nearby sush as the PC Hooftstraat, the Kalverstraat and the big department store De Bijenkorf. Every Saturday there is big fresh market at the Lindengracht and a biological market on the Noordermarkt, just 5 minutes walk.
